Injury Management Consultant Assessments

Injury Management Consultants (IMCs) are SIRA-approved registered medical practitioners with experience in occupational injury management and workplace rehabilitation. Working within the NSW workers' compensation system, they help resolve issues between the injured worker, the treating doctor, other treating health professionals and the workplace rehabilitation provider, where one is appointed.
An IMC assessment is most useful when a worker's recovery or return to work has stalled, or when there is disagreement about treatment or capacity. The IMC reviews the situation, consults with the worker and the treating doctor, and provides practical recommendations that help move the claim towards the best possible outcome.
